Orange Planet, the Startup Incubator, Supports 419 Youth Startup Teams over 10 Years, Contributing to the Creation of 3,114 Jobs 2025-02-19
Orange Planet, a startup growth platform dedicated to building a better future, has supported 419 early-stage startup teams over the past decade. These companies continue to pursue their entrepreneurial visions while delivering diverse value across society.
Among them, 179 “family companies” have successfully secured funding, ranging from seed rounds to Series D investments. In 2024, one of these companies reached a major milestone by going public. Collectively, the family companies have created 3,114 jobs, with their combined corporate valuation reaching KRW 3.7 trillion.
In response to growing demand for broader access, Orange Planet launched an Online Incubating Platform in 2023. This initiative enables non-resident teams to receive startup education and mentoring, expanding the reach of Orange Planet’s core programs. Now in its tenth year, Orange Planet continues to evolve into an open and inclusive startup incubator—empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools and support they need to succeed.
A Tour Inside Orange Planet’s Spaces
Tucked between a forest of high-rise buildings, Orange Planet Gangnam Center is a vibrant space where young entrepreneurs bring their bold ideas to life. Since opening in September 2021, it has become a hub where aspiring founders think freely, take on daring challenges, and transform distant ambitions into tangible achievements.
2F Orange Garden
Orange Garden is a nurturing ground for early-stage and prospective entrepreneurs. The 65-seat open workspace is brought to life with lush greenery and Orange Garden’s signature yellow accents. In one section, private workspaces allow young entrepreneurs to focus and grow their visions. Shared amenities include spaces for tea breaks and casual meetings, and bar tables by the windows offer city views—ideal for moments of quiet or productive focus.
4F Orange Park
Orange Park is a community space for those starting their startup journey. Visitors are welcomed by a bright green logo wall featuring the Orange Planet CI, with logos of Orange Family companies displayed beside it—symbolizing the network of startups that have grown with Orange Planet. This wall not only showcases the community but also reflects who truly shapes the platform.
Orange Park offers a thoughtfully integrated set of spaces for business operations and collaboration: a flexible multipurpose hall, a relaxing lounge with ping-pong tables and beanbags, the co-created Orange Library, open-access meeting rooms, and a studio for product shoots and video production. The multipurpose hall transforms from a casual interaction space into a presentation or event venue as needed. An outdoor terrace, furnished with benches and lush plants, provides a refreshing escape in the middle of the city.
3F, 5F, 6F Orange Farm
Occupying the 3rd, 5th, and 6th floors, Orange Farm provides early-stage startups with a focused environment for business development. Along alley-like corridors, 22 private offices—ranging from 6- to 14-person capacities—are tailored to team size and designed with thoughtful touches like large windows and spacious desks. Each floor also includes meeting rooms, lounges and cafeterias for casual breaks, and phone booths for calls or virtual meetings.
The Orange Planet Family: “Orange Family”
Twice a year, Orange Planet selects promising startups with bold ideas and strong passion through regular recruitment rounds. These Orange Family members benefit from tailored support programs and strong peer networks. Anyone with a passion for entrepreneurship can apply through the biannual or rolling admission process.
Selected teams are granted free access to Orange Planet's spaces and facilities. Not only resident startups but also alumni teams are welcome to use spaces in the Gangnam, Jeonju, and Busan centers—ensuring long-term connection even after residency ends.
Mentoring and Community
Among Orange Planet’s core initiatives, mentoring and community-building stand out. In addition to expert guidance that helps founders develop their competencies, programs like “Review Day” encourage regular communication and collaboration among senior and junior teams. Orange Planet staff also meet monthly with resident startups to understand their needs and discuss tailored support strategies. Most importantly, the strong network formed naturally among Orange Family members is a unique asset. Many companies continue to collaborate on joint projects, creating meaningful synergies.
Orange Planet Newsletter
Orange Planet’s newsletter reaches nearly 3,000 subscribers. It keeps the Orange Family connected and provides curated information essential to startups. Each issue includes insight articles summarizing key events and industry trends, along with updates on Orange Planet and its family companies.

It addresses challenges such as organizational change and business expansion through a structured, long-term program. In 2024, Orange Valley conducted 48 mentoring sessions covering HR, organizational development, marketing, and finance. Another key component is facilitating exchanges with Orange Port companies—startups in a more advanced growth phase—to enable direct knowledge-sharing. By enhancing operational capabilities, Orange Valley helps startups stay on track toward becoming unicorns.

Orange Port is designed to help capable young entrepreneurs mature into full-fledged business leaders.
